PPG

Patient Participation Group

The PPG gives patients the opportunity to have their say in the way that local health services are delivered and to help suggest important changes to benefit their practice.

PPG work by building a relationship between the practice and patients that break down barriers to communication and promotes the sharing of information. Patient surveys tell us about the care patients are receiving and other aspects of how we are performing and help us to provide an accessible and responsive service. The practice worked jointly with the PPG to agree on issues that were a priority and to include these in the survey.

Our Aim

Our aim is to work with as many different patients as possible and to make sure that the group is as fair a representation of our entire patient population as we can achieve. We are keen to have a wide diversity of patients.

We would like to hear from those with long term health conditions, carers, employed, unemployed, those with learning disabilities, all age groups, and ethnic minorities.

We understand that many patients are unable to attend meetings due to other commitments but may want to have a say in what we do and so we contact members by post or email.
